Saint John police are investigating the death of a 30-year-old woman found unconscious early this morning on Lancaster Avenue.
Officers were called to the 600 block around 4 a.m., where they discovered the woman suffering from severe injuries. Emergency first aid was performed before she was taken to hospital, where she was later pronounced dead.
An autopsy has been ordered to determine the cause of death.
Police are asking anyone who was in the area or who may have surveillance or dashcam footage from the early morning hours to contact investigators.
